			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Lots of people watch a game of soccer and have no idea the number of hours get into practicing the various <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerskillsblog.com/soccer-skills/mastering-soccer-skills-with-the-help-of-your-coach">soccer skills</a> required to play the overall game.  To become a decent player, you will spend a lot of time doing boring <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerskillsblog.com/soccer-skills/the-importance-of-practicing-soccer-skills">coaching drills</a>.  Fundamental essentials foundation of soccer; they help you to get a body used to doing certain moves and never have to think about it.</p>
<p> Running down a field while keeping charge of a ball is not as easy as it looks.  Consider that there will be many other people looking to get that ball away from you and it is even harder.  When you join a team become familiar with how you can move having a ball, how you can keep it away from another team, how you can pass it, and you&#8217;ll learn to do this while running as quickly as you are able to.  If you can have a minimum of a part of what you need to be doing almost automatic, you&#8217;ll be able to concentrate on other activities.  The drills will help you with this.</p>
<p> While at practice you have to watch your team mates too.  Learn how they move, listen when the coach lets you know about individual weaknesses and strengths.  Soccer is a team sport, and you all need to know how to play with each other.  Don&#8217;t think of the hour you spent passing the ball around the field as a chore or punishment, instead pay attention.  As it pertains game time you will need to know such things as number 3 is great when the ball is coming to him about the right, but misses a great deal if coming on the left.</p>
<p> You should be sure you visit all of your practices.  Yes, this can mean quitting a number of your spare time.  Practice might not be as much fun as a game, but if you do not go you won&#8217;t be able to play.  Your coach, or the organization itself, might have rules on attending practices to be eligible to play.  More to the point though, if you do not visit practices you will not possess the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerskillsblog.com/soccer-skills/soccer-skills-the-keys-to-success">soccer fitness</a> to play.  You are no good towards the team if you get fatigued in the center of the overall game.  Make sure to remain up and moving, during half time you might want to spend a couple of minutes re-warming up prior to going back out to experience.</p>
<p> Soccer may not be a full contact sport, but there is a lot of endurance needed, and lots of skill.  If you plan on playing the overall game, take the time to learn the basic soccer skills and plan on practicing a great deal!</p>

<p> This article explains the basic principles of weight training for soccer using common activities for demonstrating those principles.</p>
<p> During soccer strength training, Specificity is a very important concept. The theory is to design your training sessions to match the player’s activity on the field. Take for example running and swimming, a great exercise for runners and swimmers respectively.</p>
<p> Speed is the main factor to put effort to when training, so as to develop power. Weight training programs should be prepared explicitly for individuals taking into consideration their role in team sports, their age, physical and mental capacity to take stress, and the level at which they are to play.</p>

Although it does not contribute directly to an increase in a player&#8217;s performance, injury prevention can positively support a player&#8217;s performance by ensuring that he or she is fit to play at crucial times in the event calendar.</p>
<p> The movements executed in soccer are running, sprinting, turning and twisting, side-stepping, preparing for a goal. The &#8220;anterior and posterior chain,&#8221; are the chain of muscles which are required to perform these actions must be given importance to develop strength, stability and power.</p>
<p> The most useful workouts are the core lifts, like squats and deadlifts for forming these muscles. An all-round soccer fitness program may also help, but these two core lifts work wonders for leg, hip, back and abdominal strength.</p>
<p> Swimming can also help to add strength to shoulders, arms and back muscles.</p>
<p> Strength programs normally consist of heavy loads and a small number of repetitions. Some sports require bulk and strength while some others have to ensure they combine adequate strength with mobility, speed and stamina like a mid-fielder in soccer.</p>
<p> Strengthening highly vulnerable muscle groups could also add to the performance benefits in the absence of primary strength, power or endurance gains. These include the lower back and hamstrings, and the quadriceps muscles that direct knee joint function.</p>

<p>It is very commonly heard nowadays that <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerdrillstips.com/weight_training_soccer.html">weight training soccer</a> is a major factor of sports training in today’s times as it creates tougher and quicker muscles. Your players will have a chance to play at a higher level if they develop themselves using this soccer fitness plan discussed as follows.</p>
<p> The new theory of soccer weight training is to have strong and fast muscles with higher stamina rather that to keep on adding pounds of muscle bulk. Upper body weight training for soccer is not as important as is for the legs, but we still do it for overall conditioning and strength.</p>
<p> My suggestion is to focus your fitness training beginning with the legs. You can start the warm up session with squats. Now place the bar with which your players can make 20 reps. Supposing they are strong enough, so let them go with 220 pounds first. They have to get under the bar, with it resting across their upper back, and stand up with it.</p>
<p> They should then get out of the stands and stand with their feet and shoulder width apart. After that they must lower their body while holding on to the bar till their hips are a little bit below the top of their knee. When they reach this level in weight training soccer, they should stand up quickly and exhale. The players must be encouraged to continue even when they are worn-out till they do 20 reps.</p>

<p> A 5-10 minutes break should be taken before moving on with the leg curl machine to work on hamstrings. Your players will be doing 4 sets of 15 reps each. During each set of Leg Curls, Stiff-Legged Dead lift should be performed with 4 sets of 15 reps. As player’s speed is greatly improves by strong hamstrings, so they should be very tough.</p>
<p> Then conclude your leg workout with 3 sets of 25 reps on the Standing calf-raise machine.</p>
<p> Now for the upper body work out begin with the Incline bench press.<br /> After a warm up exercise, guide players to add enough weight so that the next set of 10 reps gets difficult. They should continue with that weight for 5 sets of 10 repetitions total, while stretching their chest and shoulders, and resting for around 2 minutes between each set.</p>
<p> Next are the pull-up exercises in this section of soccer strength training. They should work out on their biceps and back by making their palms facing their body. The final part of the upper body work out involves working on abdominals and doing 5 sets of 20 or more reps of leg raises. The last in this work out are the crunches do 5 sets of 50 or more.</p>

<p> Almost all coaches falter when they consider that spoken instructions are sufficient and the kids will learn everything through these. Formations on the field are an important subject and you should always discuss it with the players in advance.</p>
<p> These are calculated choices normally made in the form of figures and these explain the soccer positions of different players in each one area from the defensive line. The formations should never be inflexible and so the coach must continue to exchange players in every game. One very important thing is that the formations must be chosen keeping in mind the strengths as well as weaknesses of all players.</p>

<p> It is the midfielders who play the most important part by way of supporting the forward players through defense. At the time of attack, they should move towards the goal line to support the defenders.</p>
<p> 4-5-1: This is called a defensive formation with one forward and five mid-fielders. The greatest advantage with this formation is the inability of the opposition to attack simply because the midfielders are at the center.</p>
<p> Also, because there is only 1 forward, it requires the midfielders to push forward which in turn makes the opposition craving to get the possession of the ball.</p>
<p> 3-5-2: This formation has three defenders, five midfielders, and two forwards. This formation has the attacking as well as defending advantage since 2 wingmen get to attack and the center midfielder disallows counter attacking.</p>
<p> 3-4-3: This is the most dynamic and aggressive formation on the soccer field diagram that is used by the team when it expects its opponents to play safe or defensive. With the aid of three defenders, four midfielders and three forwards, the plan of action is to attack using the forwards and use the defenders in the event of the opposition tearing apart the defensive line.</p>
<p> There is no particular strategy that can be employed for the entire match. It must change with the dynamics and situations of the game. So a coach should employ the strategy of rotating the players as and when required. But any formation can be either offensive or defensive.</p>

<p>You&#8217;ve probably heard it a hundred times that a basic <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerdrillstips.com/soccer_conditioning.html">soccer conditioning</a> program is at the core of a team&#8217;s success. Soccer exercises build strength, agility, and endurance without which players cannot even think of being in shape for a live match, forget about winning it.</p>
<p> Nevertheless, situations may arise where you or your team don’t get sufficient time to practice before a match. It does not mean that you must cut down on conditioning exercises. You don’t wish to see your players getting hurt prior to the match or at some point in the game.</p>
<p> A well planned soccer fitness training course has the capacity to fully train the players even in less that 3 days time. All you need to do is be honest in carrying out the plan based on some good homework. There are one or two tips which work well with short but successful training plans.</p>
<p> Warming up: Tell the players to kick off with any of these; a five minute jog, heel flicks, high knees, or jumping. Take enough rest for a minute or so in between. This should be followed by some stretching of muscles for about 5 minutes to tone them up. These soccer workouts must include every important muscle group in it.</p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerdrillstips.com/fitness">Soccer Fitness</a></p>
<p>Running: Some coaches have the habit of making their players do continuously rounds of running. While that is not bad, I recommend that you make the players do soccer-specific running. It means that for 20 to 30 minutes, they do a mix of running, jogging, walking, and sprinting in no set order.</p>
<p> Running in this manner enables the players to get strong and control their bodies better. And they do not feel drained since a walk after the sprint helps balance things out.</p>
<p> Just let the individual players make a decision as to what they want to do and when. If they have a liking for sprinting more than jogging, so be it. As the stamina of the kids increases, you can increase the duration of the soccer conditioning program slightly.</p>
<p> Stretching: Instruct the players to do it religiously; both before and after the match or a training session. Focus on the entire body but give special attention to hamstrings, groins, quads, calves and lower back. Ensure that the stretching positions are of longer durations than the warm-up sessions. In general, 20 to 30 seconds is recommended.</p>
<p> A day before the match, make the players rest. This will make the muscles build up strength as well as negate the possibility of injuries. Also, this is a great time to talk to the players and giving them a high.</p>
<p> Crack jokes so that they get relieved of tension.</p>
